 East Pasco Celebrates America 250!

EAST PASCO CELEBRATES
AMERICA’S 250 TH BIRTHDAY
JULY 4 TH , 6PM-9:20PM
HISTORIC COURTHOUSE, DADE CITY

Bring your family and friends for a spectacular celebration – with bell ringing at 5:58pm, concert by the Pasco and Zephyrhills High, and Stewart, Centennial and Pasco Middle Schools combined bands, a community sing along, color guard, military and first responder tribute, soloist and possible quartet, recitations, guest speakers, cupcakes, and fireworks!!! Bring your folding chairs and plan to set up on Meridian Ave. Streets surrounding the Courthouse will be closed beginning around noon.

  • LIGHT POLE BANNERS: The Echebucsassa Chapter NSDAR sponsored 20 Patriotic Light Pole Banners. These will be hung on the large light poles on Meridian Ave. beginning Memorial Day (May 25, 2026) through Labor Day (September 7, 2026). The banners honor family members who served in the military – including some Revolutionary War patriots!
  • DADE CITY MERCHANTS ASSOCIATION continues to support the A250 Rocks Scavenger Hunt and merchant window decorations. The A250 Rocks will be hidden in various stores and businesses. Each rock has a letter, and once all the rocks are found, the letters form a patriotic phrase. Unscramble the letters, find the phrase, and claim a prize. Tentative start date May 2026.
  • MEMBERS FROM THE ZEPHYRHILLS HISTORIC SOCIETY AND THE ZEPHYRHILLS LIBRARY JOINED FORCES FOR THE ZH A 250 ROCKS. They received painted rocks and will decorate them and add coded letters and provide them with downtown merchants. Tentative start date May 2026.
  • LIBRARY READINGS A weekly library reading program of patriotic books at the Hugh Embry Library begins April 4th and continues for 13 weeks through June 27th. Attendees will receive a handout relating to each book, and Echebucsassa Chapter members will provide Fun Facts and answer questions.

  • THE 41ST JOE KIEFER GOLF TOURNAMENT with America 250 themed holes, is scheduled for April 24, 2026. This event is sponsored by the East Pasco Chamber of Commerce and will be held at Lake Jovita.
  • THE ADVENT HEALTH STOMP OUT SUICIDE TRAIL 10K, 5K AND 1K RUNS, featuring America 250 themes are set for May 2nd at the Withlacoochee River Park, Dade City.
  • THE DC CENTER FOR THE ARTS is still considering a mural project of painted bricks (bricks to be painted by individuals). The DCCA is also planning to display patriotic artwork in local stores.
  • MAINSTREET ZEPHYRHILLS: KIDFEST – June 20, 2026, in downtown Zephyrhills. This is MainStreet’s It too will be America 250 themed – lots of fun planned.

ZEPHYRHILLS SUMMERFEST 2026, featuring the annual Fourth of July fireworks and community celebration, is scheduled for Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 2 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. in downtown Zephyrhills at Zephyr Lake Park, 5th Avenue. ♥
