Ida Rose Haney, a beacon of light and creativity, was born on January 1, 1949, in Michigan. She peacefully passed away at the age of 77 in Zephyrhills, Florida, on June 6, 2026 where she and Paul had moved to in 2003 from Spencer, New York. Her life was a tapestry of love, artistry, and dedication, leaving an indelible mark on everyone she encountered.
Ida was a gifted stained glass artist, whose work brought color and joy to countless lives. Her artistry was more than just a skill; it was a reflection of her vibrant spirit and her ability to see beauty in every facet of life.
Beyond her art, Ida was an enthusiastic gardener, finding peace and purpose in nurturing plants and creating beautiful landscapes. She also shared her passion for movement and health as an aerobics instructor, inspiring those around her to embrace vitality and well-being.
Ida's unwavering faith was a cornerstone of her life. As a devoted member of New Hope Baptist Church, she found strength and community that sustained her through all of life's seasons.
She was a wonderful wife, having shared over 59 cherished years with her beloved husband, Paul. Their life together was a testament to enduring love and partnership. Ida was also a beloved mother and grandmother, whose family was her greatest treasure. She leaves behind her husband, Paul; her two sons, Paul A. (Debbie) Haney, and Matt (Michelle) Haney; her daughter, Desiree Michelle Haney; as well as her adored grandchildren, Paul Raymond Haney, Mark Haney, Calen Haney, and Kade Haney, and their mom, Kimberley.
Ida is survived by her brother, Myron Thompson, along with her beloved feline companions, Sunshine and Marmalade, who were constant sources of joy and comfort.
Though Ida's physical presence may have departed, her legacy lives on in the hearts of her family and friends. Her ability to infuse love into every aspect of her life serves as an everlasting inspiration to those who knew her.
Services to celebrate the life of Ida Rose Haney will be announced. Her family invites everyone who was touched by her kindness and warmth to join in honoring her remarkable journey.
