The father and daughter team of Umar and Mahum Faroaq have smoked their first year and are getting ready to strike off on another at Eiland Cigar Lounge and Liquor Store.
November 22 is the one-year anniversary of the establishment found at 37130 Eiland Blvd., where people can find an oasis from our smoke-free society and relax with a good cigar, stimulating conversation, and their favorite drink.
“We’re growing every day,” Umar said. “New people are finding us all the time.” Every day we get at least two or three people who come in, and they say, ‘Oh, we didn’t know there’s a cigar lounge here.’
The lounge offers a vast selection of cigars bought directly from cigar manufacturers, mainly from Nicaragua, Honduras, and the Dominican Republic. Prices range from $5 to $500.
In addition, the lounge carries all high-end, top-shelf whiskeys and bourbons that, Umar said, are hard to find in other locations. They also have high-quality coffees with assorted flavors.
